Talk About Community Impact!
The 3Rivers’ free medical equipment loan program just celebrated its 25th year of service. In the last 2 years alone, 3Rivers loaned 131 pieces of medical equipment, 68 of those pieces provided mobility supports. 3Rivers also connects community members wishing to donate equipment to those needing equipment. If you have wheelchairs, shower chairs, portable ramps or other medical equipment gathering dust at your home you can donate it to 3Rivers.

We are so proud to show off the Spirit of Wamego train with it’s accessible car. This project was a culmination of years of advocating, brainstorming and yes, sometimes begging, but it’s fully operational now! The smiles in the video located on this page says it all.
Video Produced by Rusty Earl (Wamego, KS) music licensed from Premiumbeat.com “For You” by Dan Phillipson. Thanks to the students and faculty sponsors at the University of Kansas Mechanical Engineering Department in Lawrence KS and to the community volunteers who designed and created the Spirit of Wamego train. For hours of operation visit the Wamego City website.
